Greek Architecture

The Ancient Greeks have left behind a large amount of evidence that gives us insight in to how society was structured through the use of the architecture and design.
Through archaeological studies, historians have been able to piece together how a typical home, palace or even city was designed.
Not only have we learnt how society was structured but we have learnt that the Ancient Greeks were a very advanced civilisation by virtue of their architectural design.
This is even more so the when we see more contemporary buildings (on a historical scale) reflecting the style of Ancient Greece. Even in Melbourne there are buildings influenced by Ancient Greece.
TASK
Your task will be two fold:
Firstly you will design your own building incorporating the styles of Ancient Greece. On your blueprint you will annotate the Greek elements in your building.
Secondly you will be thinking more broadly and looking at how Greek architecture has influenced building design right around the world. To do this you will be selecting 4 buildings (2 from Melbourne) and describing how Ancient Greece has informed their creation.
There are websites below to get you started on researching and learning about Classical Greek architecture.
